Rangatahi Transition DE Report

Developmental Evaluation Insights Reports

Tokona te Raki (TTR) is an indigenous social innovation lab sitting under the mana of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu. It is an organisation built on the belief that it is the birth-right of all rangatahi to live their best life – to be empowered to realise their full potential, whatever journey they choose.

The Oranga team from Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu approached TTR to assist them with a project centred around understanding rangatahi transitions. They seek to ensure that they are adding meaningful value to the experiences of rangatahi and whānau as they traverse times of uncertainty or transition. They want to deliver the support that Ngāi Tahu whānau need. The Oranga team is invested in ensuring that the voice of whānau is present within the design process and approached TTR, and specifically our rangatahi future-makers team to gather the voice of Ngāi Tahu rangatahi: rangatahi to rangatahi. Oranga also sought to work with rangatahi and whānau to co-design initiatives to support their journeys and to identify strategic opportunities to evolve its contributions to whānau outcomes moving forward.
